Graduation Ceremony

This past Saturday Matthew participated in the pre-K graduation ceremony. He did a great job, no fussing or fidgeting throughout the entire performance. In the video he is second from the right. You can barely hear him sing, but his lips are definitely moving. The very loud child is his friend Andrew.

Just Barely

Here is Matthew in the rather large hot tub at Days Inn in San Simeon. He's just barely keeping his head above water and freezing as it was not heated.

Busy Town Theme Song

Busy Town Mysteries is one of Matthew's favorite shows. Every time the theme song comes on he dances and sings the words. This time I asked him to dance and sing a second time so I could capture it on video. He is very camera shy, and decided to jump throughout the entire video! Next time, I will have to catch him while he is not looking!

The Table Goodies

My mother had a tradition in our family that make birthdays very special. Each birthday morning we woke up to a table full of birthday goodies, comprised of random things we liked that were in addition to our gift. For Matthew's 4th birthday, Michael and I started this tradition for our son. Matthew woke up a small cake with a number 4 candle with both mom and dad singing "happy birthday." He walked into the living room to find our coffee table filled with goodies. He was so happy! I think he though these were his gifts and that John's Incredible Pizza was his party. I cannot wait to see his reaction to the birthday party Saturday at Chuck E Cheese!

My Sweet 4 Year Old

For Matthew's 4th birthday, Michael and I took him to John's Incredible Pizza. After paying to get in we sat in the cartoon room, something we NEVER do! Matthew watched cartoons as he ate his pizza. Toward the end of the night we went into the game room. Matthew rode a few toddler rides and played some games. He won 68 tickets and got a set of teeth, a jumping frog and a folding fan. On our way out I asked if he would like an ice cream cone for the ride home, of course he obliged. As we walked out of the place Matthew exclaimed "I'm so lucky" and it made all worth it, 100 percent!
